6.4.3
Nebulisation with run-on system (optional)
Run-on systems are used to provide a permanent
supply of liquids to fill the nebuliser chamber.
☞ Fit the prepared run-on system [3] in the
nebuliser chamber in place of the cover.
☞ Connect the tubes and secure the run-on system
with the retainer.
The height difference between the nebuliser
chamber and container (bag/bottle) must not
exceed 1000 mm.
☞ Tap the container with a transfer kit, e. g. Intrafix
Air, brand: B.Braun. Do not bend the cable.
Ensure sterile venting of the container.
Function test of the run-on system
After connecting the container, check the function of
the float:
− Fluid runs into the nebuliser chamber.
− Intake stops automatically when the liquid level
reaches its level (range between min. and max.
marking).
☞ If a fault occurs, clean the float valve and check its
function again. Then put the ultrasonic nebuliser
into operation.
Ending operation of the run-on system
After operation, lock the intake of the container, e. g.
by closing the knurled screw on the transfer kit.

☞ Now place the adjusting ring of the bottle
holder (24) on the stainless steel stand tube and
secure it in the desired position with the locking
screw.
☞ Hang a container with the liquid to be nebulised
on the bottle holder.
The air inlet on the container must be opened so
that the infusion solution flows sufficiently into the
nebuliser chamber.
