14.3 Electromagnetic interference immunity
14.3.1 Guidelines and manufacturer's
declarations - electromagnetic interference
immunity
The device is intended for use in the electromagnetic
environment specified below. The customer or user
of the device should ensure that it is operated in
such an environment.
The environment is described as follows:
Interference immunity
IEC 60601 test level / compliance level
− Electromagnetic environment – guidelines
Discharge of static electricity /
ESD per IEC 61000-4-2
± 8 KV contact discharge
± 15 KV air discharge
− Floors should be made of wood or concrete, or be
covered with ceramic tiles. If the floor is covered
with synthetic material, the relative humidity
must be at least 30%.
Rapid transient electrical disturbances /
bursts per IEC 61000-4-5
± 2 KV for mains lines
− The quality of the supply voltage should
correspond to that of a typical commercial or
hospital environment.

Electromagnetic compatibility
Impulse voltages / surges per IEC 61000-4-11
± 1 KV series mode voltages
± 2 KV common mode voltages
− The quality of the supply voltage should
correspond to that of a typical commercial or
hospital environment.

− The quality of the supply voltage should
correspond to that of a typical commercial or
hospital environment. If the user of the device
requires continued operation even in the event of
power interruptions, it is recommended that the
device be powered from an uninterruptible power
supply or a battery.

− Magnetic fields at the mains frequency should
correspond to the typical values found in the
commercial and hospital environment.
