Full Diagnostic Mode

The following instructions describe the specific
functions of the wheel balancer in "FULL
DIAGNOSTIC" mode.
The icon shown in fig. 6-72 indicates the "FULL
DIAGNOSTIC" mode is active. The unit operates in
Automatic Mode.
When the "FULL DIAGNOSTIC" mode is set with the
set up panel, the machine performs the Automatic
Advanced wheel data reading procedure.
To enable the function access the "SETTINGS"
screen (9, Fig. 4-5) and select the following:
9
"OPTIMA Set up / Wheel balancer operating
mode", set "Full Diagnostic" and press "ESC".
Note:
The special feature of this function is the reading
precision of the cameras, which allows for three
dimensional images of the wheel to perform an
analysis of the tire and rim.
The images, both flat and three dimensional, are
presented graphically with a colorimetric gradation.
The changes in the colors of the wheel
reconstruction displayed on the screen, indicate the
surface conditions of the parts.
Therefore, the operator can quickly visually assess
the state of wear of the tread.
The operator can identify possible irregularities or
faults such as: flattening, bulges, bubbles on the
sidewalls, lack of homogeneity, cuts, and abrasions
and surface imperfections, both on the tread and the
sides of the tire.
Note:
Note:
"FULL DIAGNOSTIC"
All the functions described in the previous
Automatic Modes, are also available in the "FULL
DIAGNOSTIC" Mode.
Measuring runs in "FULL DIAGNOSTIC" mode
require a longer Cycle Time, due to the high
precision three dimensional data reading, compared
to the Time required with the "BALANCE WITH
RUNOUT" runs.
The information given to the operator is approximate,
not absolute. It aims to prompt the operator to carry
out more in-depth checks.
