ENGINE OIL CHANGE
Follow the procedure below.
1- Turn off the engine and remove
the ignition key.
2 - Let the engine cool down ade-
quately to avoid being burnt.
3 - Prepare a container of appro-
priate capacity.
As for the oil quantity, see "Techni-
cal data".
4 - Unscrew the plug (P).
5 - Unscrew the exhaust plug (Q)
and let all the oil flow into the con-
tainer.
6 - Replace the gasket and screw
plug (Q) back into place.
Important
Lock the plug to a torque of 55
Nm.
7 - Pour the new oil through the filling plug
(P).
To reach the correct engine oil level, add the
minimum oil quantity depending on the en-
gine model (see "Technical data").
Then top up.
When topping up the oil, to avoid exceeding
the maximum allowed value, add the oil in
small amounts (100 to 200 ml at a time) until
it reaches the correct level.
Important
The oil level must be between the mini-
mum and maximum marks on the dip-
stick.
8 - Screw again the plug (P).

9 - Start the engine and bring it to the oper-
ating temperature (70÷80 °C).
Check for any oil leaks
Warning - Caution
In the event of oil leaks, check the level
periodically to evaluate the extent of the
leak. If the amount is excessive, contact
one of the manufacturer's authorised
service centres.
10- Turn off the engine and check the oil level.
Important
– Do not throw the oil in the environ-
ment but carry out its disposal in compli-
ance with legislation in force in the
country where it is used.
– Use the oils and lubricators recom-
mended by the manufacturer (See "Rec-
ommended lubricants").
