2.6 DISMANTLING AND DECOMMISSIONING

When dismantling or decommissioning the lift, take the
following precautions to avoid the risk of environmental
pollution:
The hydraulic oil in the hydraulic unit's tank and also in
the jacks and pipes must be removed carefully.
The other parts of the lift must be treated as special
waste.
Dismantle the machine, uniformly grouping its
assemblies and parts, and arrange separate disposal
of such parts observing the antipollution laws of the
country in which the machine was used. In general,
please note the following:
Exhausted oil is special waste.
Rubber parts are special waste.
Scrap iron is special waste.
In Italy, if the above parts are kept at the plant, authorisation
of temporary storage is needed. In any event, you are
advised to contact your supplier for information on
companies authorised to dispose of waste.

2.7 SAFE USE

PONYBENCH-BT consists essentially of two units: the lift,

to observe the safety and accident prevention
regulations described below.
When using the lift, you must observe the following
prescriptions:
The machine must never be operated by anyone who
has not completely read, understood and assimilated
the contents of this instruction manual.
The machine must never be operated by inadequately
trained or inexpert personnel or personnel not in good

creates the serious risk of breakages and invalidates
the guarantee.
Never touch, lean on, or stand between moving parts
during raising and lowering of the vehicle lift.
Never lift persons, animals or things. The lift has been
designed exclusively for the lifting of vehicles within
the load limits indicated on the identifi cation plate.
Never lift the vehicle with persons or unstable objects
on board, which could fall causing damage or injury.
Never use ladders, stools or other objects to rest on
during the operations: the operator must always stand
fi rmly on the fl oor.
Never walk on the upper mobile platform even when
the lift is fully lowered.
Do not withdraw the pad supports from the arms
beyond the reference mark shown on the sticker.
Before lifting, always insert the four supplied rubber
pads (for resting the vehicle over) on the lifting arms,
between the vehicle body and lift structure.
They ensure perfect adhesion of the vehicle to the lift
structure, avoiding damage to the vehicle body.
