7 SYSTEMS
7.1 SYSTEMS
PONYBENCH BTPLUS is an electro-hydraulic lift. PONYBENCH BTPLUS's chief source of energy is, therefore,
electrical. The source is supplied by existing distribution networks in the workshop. The power necessary for a correctly
operating lift is supplied by a hydraulic system and is generated by a gear pump.
7.2 PONYBENCH BTPLUS HYDRAULIC LAY-OUT
· OPERATION
By enabling the ascent control, the electric motor (2) turns
the pump (1), pressurised oil is sent to the plunger chamber
of the jack rod (11), passes through the safety valve (10)
and lifts the mobile platform. The lift is lowered by means
of the solenoid-valve (9), which connects the main duct to
the outlet, thus allowing oil to fl ow into the tank (12). The
fl ow control valve (8) controls the fl ow of oil out of the jack,
thus maintaining descent speed within the limits specifi ed
by the manufacturer. The main pressure relief valve (3)
prevents pressure from exceeding the value specifi ed by
the Manufacturer. The pressure relief valve (3) must not be
tampered with for any reason whatever.
