4 USE INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 BEFORE USE

WARNING! Before
BTPLUS, check the effi ciency of the system
and get to know the controls.
4.2 CHECKING OPERATION OF SAFETY
DEVICES
Before using the appliance, always check if the safety
devices provided by the manufacturer are operating
correctly.

4.3 EMERGENCY BUTTON

Check if the emergency button is operating correctly, as
follows ( Figure 9 ):
• Turn on power to the control unit by using the switch
on the distribution board.
• Make sure that the key is fi tted on the mushroom head
emergency push-button.
• Turn the mushroom-shaped
clockwise until it is released (1).
• · Press the reset button (2) on the right of the mushroom-
shaped emergency button (1). The yellow indicator
light (3) will come on to indicate that the equipment is
powered.
• Press the <ascent> button (5) with your right hand and
raise the mobile platform.
• While holding down the <ascent> button, press the
red mushroomshaped emergency button (1) with your
free hand: the lift should stop immediately.

4.4 RESET BUTTON

Check if the reset button is operating correctly, as follows
(Figure 9):
• Make sure that the key is fi tted on the mushroom head
emergency push-button.
• Turn the mushroom-shaped
clockwise until it is released (1).
• Press the <ascent> button (5): the lift remains
stationary.
• Press the reset button (2) on the right of the mushroom-
shaped emergency button (1). The yellow indicator
light (3) will come on to indicate that the equipment is
powered.
• Press the <ascent> button (5) again: the lift should
begin to rise.

4.5 CHECKING OPERATION OF SAFETY HOOK
STOP
Check if the safety hook stop is operating correctly,
according to your version of PONYBENCH BTPLUS
(Figure 9):
• Turn the mushroom-shaped emergency button
clockwise until it is released (1). Press the reset push-
button (2).
• Press the <raise> (5) push-button until the lift reaches
a height of at least 60-70 cm from the fl oor. The safety
hook should rise automatically.
• Press the descent push-button (6) for the fi rst section
of travel.
The safety hook stop (No.9 Figure 4) during descent,
should hook onto one of the blocks welded on the lift
base.
