9 TROUBLESHOOTING
9.1 FAULTS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
FAULT
Lift not operating: no reaction
When the <ascent> is operated,
the lift does not rising or rises with
diffi culty.
Insuffi cient lift carrying capacity
Lift descending from stopped position
until the safety hook engages on a
stop.
Lifting arms not opening / closing
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Lack of electrical power.
Burnt electric motor.
Pump not operating.
Not enough oil in the control unit
tank.
Pump very worn.
Ascent-descent control solenoid-valve
jammed or out of service.
Insuffi cient hydraulic circuit operating
pressure.
Faulty
jack:
insuffi cient
tightness.
Worn lock-valve.
No compressed air

SOLUTION
Check the distribution board and, if
necessary, set the master switch to
correct position.
Check the position of the mushroom
shaped button on the control console
and, if necessary, release it and then
press the reset button.
Turn OFF the master switch on the
power board and then open the
control board on the control unit and
check the condition of the fuses.
Replace them if necessary.
Replace the electric motor.
Pump not operating.
Check oil level in tank and, if
necessary, top up.
Replace the pump.
Check the solenoid-valve and, if
necessary, replace it.
Check pump operating pressure on
the pressure gauge. Replace the
pump if necessary.

Replace the jack.
Replace the valve.
Check if the air pipe is connected
to the compressed air distribution
system. The system must have
a pressure reducer set to correct
pressure
