3.13 MACHINE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
For such kind of planting, it is necessary to adjust the toolbar
height at the soil beds depth, changing the leadig angle of the
wheel supports. To do that:
- hook the seed drill up to the three points of the tractor;
- unthread the screw (A, Fig. 39);
- Lower the seeding elements to ground level in the work
position.
- Rotate the wheel support until the indicator (B, Fig. 39) matches
the screw (C, Fig. 39).
- fix the screw in the new position.
In the figure:
1) machine prepared to plant on flat soil
2) machine prepared to plant on soil beds (with lowered wheels).
3.14 FLOATING WHEELS
Mainly used with medium-large seeding widths and seedbeds
that are not perfectly flat, these elements ensure constant grip of
the transmission wheels on the ground.
By using the screws (A, Fig. 40) modify pressure on the wheel
according to the soil's characteristics.
ASSEMBLY
1) Dismantle the casing (B e C, Fig. 40).
2) Remove the locking device screws (D).
3) Put the casing back together (B e C, Fig. 40).
4) Adjust double spring tension by means of the screws (A,
Fig. 40) in compliance with the state of the soil.
