1. PUTTING ON THE HELMET

Note:
See section F.8. for operation of the chin-strap / fastener system.
1. Open and lock the chin section. Make sure the sun visor is
retracted into the helmet shell.
2. Open the chinstrap and chinstrap comfort pad.
3. Take the lower ends of the chinstrap and pull these apart.
4. It will now be easy to put the helmet on.
5. Close the chinstrap comfort pad (with the Velcro fastener)
6. Fasten the chinstrap by pushing the ratchet tongue into the lock
so that you hear it engage properly.
7. Make sure the chinstrap passes under the chin and fits firmly.
8. Swing the chin section down until you hear the lock close.
9. Check that the chin section is securely locked by pressing it up
from below.
Note:
Regularly check that the chinstrap fits correctly and is adjusted
to the correct length (see section F.8.).
Warning:
Never ride with the chin strap unfastened or incorrectly
adjusted! The chin strap should fit correctly and should not
become loose when pulled. The fastener is not correctly closed
if the chin strap becomes loose when pulled (see also section
G.3. – Checking the retention system).

Warning:
Never use the helmet with the lining removed! If the lining is
not installed before use, the helmet may not fit properly and
could come off in an accident, resulting in severe head injury or
death.
Warning:
Never ride with the chin section raised! The chin section must
be closed and fastened while riding!
Warning:
Never use the helmet without the chin section closed and
locked!

2. TAKING OFF THE HELMET

1. Open and lock the chin section. Make sure the sun visor is
retracted into the helmet shell.
2. Open the chinstrap by pulling the red strap on the ratchet
fastener and thus releasing the locking buckle. Having done this,
pull the ratchet tongue out of the locking buckle.
3. Undo the Velcro of the chinstrap comfort pad.
4. Grasp the ends of the chinstrap and pull the chinstrap ends apart.
5. The helmet can now be removed easily from the head.
6. Close the chin section.
Caution:
Never ride with the chin section raised!
Tip:
To avoid scratching any objects you might place the helmet on,
we recommend closing the chin-strap after you have taken the
helmet off.
