Para realizar el control rápido del des-
gaste de las pastillas:
•
Colocar el vehículo sobre el ca-
ballete.
•
Efectuar un control visual entre
el disco y las pastillas trabajan-
do:
- desde arriba y desde atrás, para la pin-
za del freno delantero (1);

- sobre el lado opuesto de la moto, a tra-
vés de la llanta, para la pinza del freno
trasero (2).
ATENCIÓN
EL CONSUMO MÁS ALLÁ DEL LÍMITE
DEL MATERIAL DE FRICCIÓN CAU-
SARÍA EL CONTACTO DEL SOPORTE
METÁLICO DE LA PASTILLA CON EL
DISCO, CON EL CONSIGUIENTE RUI-
DO METÁLICO Y ESCAPE DE CHIS-
PAS DE LA PINZA; LA EFICACIA DE
FRENADO, LA SEGURIDAD Y EL
BUEN ESTADO DEL DISCO QUEDA-
RÍAN DE ESTE MODO COMPROMETI-
DOS.
Si el espesor del material de fricción (in-
cluso de una sola pastilla delantera (3) o
trasera (4)) se encuentra reducido hasta
aproximadamente 1,5 mm. (0,059 in) (o
si uno solo de los indicadores de desgas-
te no es visible) hacer sustituir todas las
pastillas de las pinzas del freno, dirigién-

To carry out a quick pad wear check:
•
Rest the vehicle on its stand.
•
Carry out a visual inspection of
brake disc and pads as follows:
- look from above at the rear to check the
front brake calliper (1);
- on the opposite side of the vehicle and
through the rim, check the rear brake cal-
liper (2).
CAUTION
EXCESSIVE WEAR OF THE FRICTION
MATERIAL MAKES THE PAD METAL
SUPPORT GET INTO CONTACT WITH
THE DISC, WHICH RESULTS IN A
METALLIC NOISE AND SPARKS IN
THE CALLIPER; THEREFORE, BRAK-
ING EFFICIENCY AND DISC SAFETY
AND INTEGRITY ARE AT RISK.
If the friction material thickness (even of
one front (3) or rear (4) pad) is reduced
to a value of about 1.5 mm (0.059 in) (or
even if one of the wear indicators is not
very visible), contact an Official Moto
Guzzi Dealer to replace all the calliper
pads.
