• Do not obstruct any air vents or drains present
on the appliance.
• Do not tamper with appliance components.
• In the event of a fire, do not pour water directly
onto the appliance, but use the specific safety
devices available (extinguishers).
• The cooking temperatures required may cau-
se unavoidable overheating of coverings, sur-
faces, etc.. This is not a construction fault but
stainless steel is a thermal conductor and for
this reason care must be taken to avoid burns.
• When the tank is pressurized, do not open the
lid until the pressure has decreased to appro-
ximately atmospheric pressure.
• After steam cooking, exercise great caution
when opening the lid to avoid being scalded
by residual steam coming from the tank. Fai-
lure to observe this precaution may pose a
danger to the operator.
REMINDERS FOR USE
9.1 LEVEL MARKS ON THE TANK
• There are 4 level marks on the tank. When the
appliance is used as a fryer, the level mark 11
(l) indicates the minimum oil level while the 12
(l) mark indicates the maximum level.
• When the appliance is used not as a fryer but
for any other cooking mode, the level mark 3
(l) indicates the minimum level while the 20 (l)
mark indicates the maximum filling level.
9.2 CORE PROBE (fryer and slow cooking
functions)
• The probe regulates the temperature in the
tank.
• The device is positioned inside the lid.
• IMPORTANT! The probe must be positioned
in its dedicated housing on the wire mesh on
the bottom of the tank. Fig.9.2 (failure to per-
form this operation trips the appliance safety
devices).
9.3 CORE PROBE (bratt pan and fry top fun-
ctions)
• The probe enables cooking regulated by the
core temperature of the product.
• The device measures the temperature of food
and as soon as it reaches the set core tempe-
rature, it emits an acoustic and visual signal.
• The position of the core probe in cooking mo-
des that employ this device is very important.
6
The probe must be pushed down into the cen-
ter of the food to be cooked until it is fully in-
serted. In items of food which are less than
twice as thick as the probe, the latter must be
inserted horizontally, parallel to the support
surface, so that the tip of the probe still comes
to rest in the center of the product.

OPENING THE LID

• Before opening the lid of the tank, ensure the-
re is no pressure build-up inside. Vent the ste-
am using the lever on the operating valve on
the lid. Once the pressure has been released,
the display no longer shows the message
"pressure in tank".
