APPLIANCE USED AS A FRYER
• When used for frying food, the appliance can
be used with oil or solid fat.
• Do not place large pieces of food or food that
is dripping with water in the tank because this
action may produce splashes of boiling oil and
cause the oil to overflow.
• Top up the oil level whenever it falls below the
minimum reference mark (fire hazard). Before
pouring in oil make sure that there is no water
in the tank.
• Pour oil into the tank up to the maximum level
indicated by the reference mark on the tank. If
using solid fat, use the dedicated melting pro-
gram. Do not leave the fat in the tank when
you have finished cooking.
• Gradually immerse the basket containing the
food to be fried into the boiling oil and take
care that the resulting foam does not spill over
the sides of the tank. If this should occur, stop
immersing the basket and wait for a few se-
conds.
• Do not use old oil as it has a lower flash point
and may start boiling very suddenly.
• For the maximum basket load, refer to Table
T5.
APPLIANCE USED AS A PASTA COOKER
• The appliance can also be used for boiling pa-
sta, rice, vegetables and similar foodstuffs in
water.
• Use very fine grained salt, adding it to the tank
when the water is boiling. Do not use coarse-
grained rock salt in the tank.
APPLIANCE USED AS A FRY TOP
• The appliance is designed for cooking foods
placed directly on the bottom of the tank ( ste-
aks, hamburgers, fish, vegetables, etc.).
APPLIANCE USED FOR STEAM COOKING
• The appliance is designed for steam cooking
using the dedicated accessories (vegetables,
potatoes, etc.).
APPLIANCE USED FOR SOUS-VIDE COO-
KING
• Use food-grade vacuum bags suitable for co-
oking (heat-resistant and sealed).

FILLING THE TANK WITH OIL
• Lift the lid all the way up
• Pour in the oil. Attention: the oil level must
always be between the minimum and maxi-

ter "Level marks on the tank").
EMPTYING THE OIL FROM THE TANK
• Open the lid and remove the baskets.
• Wait for the oil to cool.
• Place a suitable receptacle to hold the drai-
ned oil under the drain extension. It must be
heat-resistant and of suitable construction so
that during emptying, the oil does not overflow
and pose a hazard.
• Position it below the tank and press button 5-
Fig.1 (Tank lifting) to drain the oil slowly into
the container. This is to prevent oil splashing
out of the container.
• Remove any deposits from the tank with the
aid of a sponge or absorbent kitchen paper.
