- OPERATING THE PLANT
4.1 Positioning the plant
Perform the steps in the order given below:
•
Put the plant in a suitable area that complies to all standards and regulations. Make sure the space needed to work conveniently
in complete safety is present. The installation site should be equipped with electrical wiring that meets and exceeds all standards
and regulations and a water mains.
•
Push down the caster wheel brakes.
•
Connect to the water mains with the threaded fitting provided.
•
Hook the machine up to the three-phase line with the receptacle provided.
If you own a three–phase system that you wish to operate at 220 V single-phase, perform the operations given below:
a) Disconnect the machine from the electrical power line.
b ) Plug the machine's power cord into the inverter's electrical cabinet (42) supplied with the machine. The cabinet should be wall-
c) Plug the inverter cabinet's plug into the 220 V single-phase electrical outlet.
4.2 Preliminary checks
WARNING!
Carry out the operations given below the first time the plant is used:
•
Start the machine, use the OIL MILL switch (30) to check that the blade in the mill turns clockwise. If it does not,
exchange the two phase wires at the outlet with the machine disconnected from the power mains. Only authorized
maintenance electricians can perform this operation.
•
Put the collecting basins for oil and SANSA in place.
•
Insert the tube provided for discharging SANSA, locking in place with the metal clamp provided, and oil outflow nozzle;
the tube provided to discharge the pomace should be attached and firmly secured in place to prevent finger contact
with the screw feeder.
•
The BuonOlio TOP plants are tested prior to delivery however we recommend activating all switches before attempt-
ing to start work to verify no damage was incurred due to mishandling during shipment loading/unloading.
•
Make certain all guards that protect moving parts are firmly secured in place.
•
The machine is designed to wok automatically with the operator at hand who has to feed the olives and put the
collecting basins for the oil and pomace in place.
4.2.1 Start up

•
Only qualified and authorized personnel can carry out this operation.
•
The power cord supplied with the machine is approximately 5 m long. If the machine is placed further away, have a
qualified electrician make the extension cord.
Perform the operations listed below in the given order:
a)
Turn the MAIN SWITCH (28) to "1" (with switches in position "0").
b ) Release the EMERGENCY STOP button (27).
c)
Press the START button (26).
d) Turn on switches CRUSHER (31) – OIL MILL (30) – OLIVES (32) one after the other.
e) Put the olives in the hopper (1) and put the olive blade (2) in the position most suitable for the size of the olives (put it almost in
the middle when very small olives are handled).
f)
The machine starts crushing. It takes about 30 minutes to fill the OIL MILL (5) with paste. At this point, shut off the CRUSHER (31),
wait 20 minutes and turn the main shut off switch (28) to "0". Power has now been shut off and the checks given below can be
made (paragraph 4.2.2).
