4.3 Adjustments

4.3.1 Adjusting the levels (13)

NOTE
There are eight levels; there are two numbered holes for each level placed 180° in relation to each other.
Perform the operations given below:
a) Stop the machine as directed in paragraph 4.2.4.
b) Open the door (6).
c)
Make the following adjustments, if required:
If the oil flowing out is dirty and, for example, the two level 5 holes are open, close them and open the level 4 ones [basically
speaking, always open the two lower levels and close the two upper ones, as shown in F1 from figure (X) to (Y)].
If the oil flowing out is very clean and there are traces of oil in the SANSA and, for example the level 4 holes are open,
close them and open the level 5 ones [basically speaking, always open the two upper levels and close the two lower
ones, as shown in F2 from figure (X) to (Y)].
If the traces of oil are considerable and, for example, the two level 5 holes are open, close them and open the level 7 or
8 ones [basically speaking, always open the levels that are two or three numbers higher than the actual ones, as shown
in F3 from figure (X) to figure (Y) or (W)].

4.3.2 Setting the flow meter (24)

If ten minutes after the oil extraction process has started the oil is very clean and there are traces of oil in the SANSA, set the
flow meter (24) to 2 or 3.
To wash the inside of the DECANTER (14) at the end of work, set the flow meter to the highest value on the scale until clean
water flows out.

4.3.3 Adjusting the paste variators (7)

This procedure is used to adjust the amount of paste let into the DECANTER (14). If outflowing oil is dirty, turn the variator knob
(7) clockwise, completing 1–2 turns. If the oil is now less dirty, repeat the step until clean oil flows out. If the oil flowing out is too
clean and there are traces of oil in the SANSA perform the procedure in reverse. When starting work, adjust the variator (7) on
the rev. counter to about halfway through its stroke, setting it to "4". If satisfactory results are not obtained in this manner, change
the levels (13) as directed in paragraph 4.3.1.

4.3.4 Adjusting olive infeed

If very small olives are processed, adjust the plate (2) located under the hopper to send fewer olives to the CRUSHER (4). On
the other hand, no adjustments need to be made and the plate (2) is not required when larger olives are used.
