Checking and setting combustion
Burner is supplied already set for
natural gas, but nozzles are not fitted.
· Remove both fuel oil tubes and both
screws 1 from the RTC®
plate (dimension y)
· Remove safety screw D.
· Remove mobile spindle E.
· Open burner body.
· Disconnect the four ignition cables
on the transformers.
· Loosen nut and side screw C
retaining gas and fuel oil feed line.
· Take out combustion components.
· Check settings of the following :
ignition electrodes (fuel oil and gas)
and diffusers according to available
gas and diagrams opposite.
· Adjust and place nozzle according to
boiler capacity.
· Check that flat gasket is in correct
position on gas feed line.
· Reassemble unit.
· Check the following :
– tightness of screw, of nut C as
well as nuts of fuel oil tubes
– possible leaks.

Secondary air (dimension Y)
This is the amount of air flowing
between the tubulator diameter and
blast-tube.
On delivery, dimension Y is set at 18
mm on the rule graduated from 0 to 50
mm and Y1 at 453 in T1 and 753 in T2.
However,
this value can be adjusted according
–
to the following :
gas firing quality (shock, vibration,
–
judder, time lag),
combustion quality for gas and fuel oil
flows.
Setting
It is performed when burner is
shutdown,with removal of combustion
implements,following the procedure
outlined in the earlier section.
By increasing dimension Y, the CO2
increases and vice versa.
Gas inlet line.
· Loosen both screws 3 from the
turbulator support.
· Slide the turbulator support into the
required direction.
· Measure dimension Y1; tighten both
screws 3.
· Adjust the diffuser according to the
type of head and gas used following
the enclosed plan.
Optional setting of turbulator / nozzle
dimension.
· Remove combustion implements.
On delivery, that dimension is set at
8 mm. However, depending on
findings :
if the turbulator wets :
–
· reduce such value.
if ignition is delayed or jerky :
–
· increase such value.
· Loosen screw 2,
· Slide the nozzle line in the required
direction.
· Measure dimension ; tighten
screw 2
· Reassemble the whole unit.
· Make sure the flat gasket is
available and in position on the gas
inlet line
