1. Remove the metallic bracket (K) from the metallic support bar (L). To do
that, you should press the metallic bracket button (K3) and simultaneously
pull the metallic support bar (L) up.
2. Remove the screws (K1) on the metallic bracket (K), with the Allen key
No. 5 (H6).
3. The correct positioning of the metallic bracket (K) is extremely
important. Make sure the metallic bracket (K) is positioned in the frame
according to the picture. Place the body of the front mounting block (K2)
on the bicycle frame from the front. Insert 4 screws (K1) in the block to
tighten the rear metallic mounting plate (K4), so that the hight can be
adjusted later.
4. Tighten the screws, with the Key (H6), so that the metalic bracket (K) is
secured but not fully tightened so that, if necessary, you can adjust the
height later. However, note that it should be tight to make it easier to
complete the next step. You need to tighten the 4 screws diagonally and
in stages. Check the safety of the fasteners regularly.
5. Place the edges of the metallic support bar (L) at the holes of the metallic
bracket (K) until you hear a click indicating the lock, and until the centre
button (K3) shall be level with the exterior of the hose metallic bracket.
6. Centre and adjust the metallic support bar (L) at a height above the rear
wheel, so that later, when you add the weight of the child, the child bicycle
seat does not touch the wheel. Note that the metallic support bar (L)
should be positioned at a maximum of 10cm away from the wheel. Never
use the metallic support bar (L) to carry other loads than this child seat, as
indicated in this manual.
7. To remove the base of the child seat you have to open the jaws (I),
pressing one of the jaws, pressing down the button and pulling out. With
the other hand you have to pull out the base, and finally press and pull the
other jaw to completely remove the base.
8. You shall free the metallic clamps (H2). You can use the Allen key nrº5 (H6)
provided. Unscrew (relieve only) in diagonal two opposite screws (H1) in
the base, as shown in the picture. Then do the same for the 2 screws (H3).
The application of protective caps (H4) is mandatory on the metallic
clamps (H2) so that the metallic support bar (L) is not damaged.
9. Then we put the base (H) on the metallic support bar (L) . Note that
the base, when assembled on the metallic support bar (L), should be
centred. Note that when you tighten the base it could move to the right
or left. If this happens, centre it again. The centring of the base against
the metallic support bar (L) is extremely important for the child's safety.
The base is symmetrical. It´s very important that you don´t assembly the
metallic clamps over the limiters, indicated on the picture as (L1). The pair
of metallic clamps must be placed between those limiters (L1). This space is
indicated on the picture with an arrow. It´s forbidden to apply the front
metallic clamps outside of this space.
1. To put the child into the seat you must first loosen the belt (B). First,
extend the belts to the maximum by pressing the adjuster button (B2.1)
of the belt guide (B2), then pull it up. This will simplify the placement of
the seat belt when the child is in the seat. We recommend that the child's
helmet be put on after the belt is adjusted.

HOW TO ADJUST THE CHILD SEAT TO YOUR CHILD

10. Once you have applied the base (H) properly centred and the metallic
clamps (H2) are properly positioned between limiters of the metallic
support (L1), you should tighten the screws (H1) a little so that when finally
tightening, the base is properly centred in relation to the support bar (L).
It is very important that the base is centred when applied on the
metallic support bar (L).
11. First, you must tighten the 2 screws (H3), and then the 4 Screws (H1) in
cross. You must tighten it with the necessary strength so the base would
be well fixed to the carrier and do not move at all with a recomended
torque of 6 N.m.
12. Next step is to fasten the baby-seat to the base. This is an important
step to ensure the safety of the child and the cyclist, so you should make
sure to comply strictly with the following instructions. Place the child
seat as seen in the picture, so that you can insert the safety metal plate
of the child seat (J), and secure it in the insertion opening for the metallic
protection system (H5), marked by the red arrow. After assuring that it is
properly fixed, push down the child seat, in order to secure it to the base.
The child seat will be properly locked to the base after you hear a
click on both sides, on both the opening and clamping jaws (I), also
marked with two red arrows.
13. Now the seat (A) is placed at the Base (H), which is placed to the bar
(L) you must tighten once more the metallic bracket (K) placing it in a
correctly position. Center and adjust the baby seat to a height above the
rear wheel, in a way that when you add the child weight, the baby seat
does not touch the wheel. Tighten well the screws (K1), don´t forget to
tighten it in cross. Shake up with the necessary strenght the baby seat to
test if it is properly fixed to the bicycle. All the components must be well
tightened with a recomended torque of 8 N.m.
14. The child seat has a center of gravity (F) (engraved on the child seat)
that must be positioned in front of the rear wheel axle. If it is positioned
behind the axle, the distance must not exceed 10 cm. Special care must
also be taken when positioning the child seat to ensure that the cyclist
does not touch the child seat with his feet when cycling.
Note: In Germany, according to the German Traffic Law StVZO, bicycle seats
may only be fixed so that 2/3 of the seat depth or the Gravity Center of the
seat is located between the front and rear axle of the bicycle.
15. Pass the safety belt (C) around the bicycle frame. Adjust it as shown
in the picture, under tension. Make sure that remain loosen belt is not in
contact with the wheel. This step is extremely important for the child's
safety.
16. Make sure you have followed and fulfilled all the instructions given.
When done so, the child bicycle seat is ready for use. IT IS MANDATORY
TO READ the following chapter on safety instructions about using
your child bicycle seat.
2. To place the child in the seat, first undo the belt. Start by pressing the
releases on the sides of the safety buckle (M1) and pull the buckle (M)
upwards, so that it slides out of the socket (M2). Place the child in the seat.
Insert the safety buckle (M) in its socket again (M2). Make sure that the
buckle socket (M2) is correctly positioned and does not hurt the child.
