e.g., 30 or 60 minutes and initiate the recharging several times if needed. In too cold/warm an environment the battery will
not be charged.
Never recharge in a potentially explosive environment.
When not in use, prevent over-discharge of battery by keeping the blower device always on recharge. Over charging of
battery is automatically prevented. To maintain the capacity of the battery pack, a regular full discharge (until the battery
alarm sounds) must be performed. Note: If the battery has been completely depleted it may need to be sent to an Author-
ised Service Centre ("ASC") for recovery. If needed, the battery must be replaced by an ASC only.
Recharging
Connect the recharging device to the main power supply (100-240 V/ 50 Hz). When not connected to the Powered Air
Turbo, the signal light will not come on. Open the protective lid of the blower's charging connector (See Fig 5). Push the
recharging plug into the charging connector and turn the plug slightly clockwise until it sits fast, otherwise the battery will
not be charged. The charging will start automatically. Throughout the recharging, the recharger's red signal light remains
on. The time needed depends on the battery status. Recharging is complete when the red signal light goes out, and the
green signal light comes on and stays on (standby level).
The recharging plug will come off when you pull the locking latch and simultaneously turn the plug counter-clockwise.
Then close the protective lid.

The battery should be charged after each use. The battery can be typically recharged 350-500 times. The battery's
capacity is reduced over time. Deterioration is accelerated by storage in a warm place. Deep discharge of the battery
during long-term storage can be prevented by keeping the Powered Air Turbo on recharge. However, if standby charging
is impractical, batteries can be interim-recharged e.g., three times a year. Prior to use, at least one cycle of discharge and
charge should be carried out.
Do not charge batteries with unapproved chargers, in enclosed cabinets without ventilation, in hazardous locations
or near sources of high heat.
Do not charge the batteries outside the recommended temperature range of +10 to +30°C.
Do not use the batteries outside of the recommended temperature limits
FAULT FINDING
Do not ignore the Error Codes displayed by the Powered Air Turbo.

DISPOSAL
If disposal of parts is required, this should be undertaken in accordance with local health and safety and environmental
regulations
Depending on the contaminant that the Powered Air Turbo and filters have been exposed to, these may need to be con-

Wrong or defective battery
Possible Cause
1. Filters blocked. Replace filters. Replace both filters at the same time.
Blocked filters cause the motor to work harder and shorten the motor life.
2. Filters covered. Clear obstruction
3. Headtop or facepiece blocked. Clear blockage.
4. Breathing tube blocked. Clear blockage.
5. Powered Air Turbo outlet blocked. Clear blockage
6. Other –
Remove unit from use and return to Authorised Service Centre

Potentially caused by motor temporarily stopping. Switch the Powered Air Turbo off
and on again. If E0 does not reoccur, continue to use Powered Air Turbo following all
pre-use checks. If E0 continues to reoccur, remove from use and return to Authorised
Service Centre.
Remove from use and return to Authorised Service Centre.
