Important Safety Instructions
HOW
TO
REDUCE RISK
OF
FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR PERSONAL DAMAGE.
• This machine has been designed for domestic
use.
• This machine should never be plugged in
while NOTin use. Always unplug the machine
from the electric outlet before c1eaning or
after using it.
• Before switching on the machine, make sure
that the electric voltage of the socket outlet
is the same as the rated voltage.
• Usethis machine only for its intended useasdescri-
bed in this Instruction Book. Use only attachments
specifically recommended for the machine.
• Disconnect the power-line plug from the socket
outlet or switch the machine off when making any
adjustments in the needle area, such as threading
a needle, changing a needle, changing the needle
plate, changing presser foot or removing bobbin
case, etc.
• Always unplug the machine from the electrical
outlet before removing covers, lubricating or when
making any other adjustments mentioned in this
Instruction Book.
• Do not attempt to adjust the motor belt.
Contact your nearest authorized SINGER Service
Center should any adjustment be required.
• When sewing, keep fingers away from all
moving parts. Special care is required to avoid
accidents with needle while in movement.
• Do not pull or push fabric firmly while stitch-
ing. It may deflect the needle causing it to
break.
• Never operate the machine with any air
openings blocked. Keep ventilation openings of
the machine and foot control pedal free from
the accumulation of lint and dust.
• Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products
are being used or where oxygen is being
administered.
• The appliance is not intended for use by young
children or infirm persons without supervisiono
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.
