Overedge stitchi ng
This stitch is used for finishing in stretch fabrics edges or
in cloths which need more elasticity, such as sleeves,
collar, sweaters and swimsuits.
RECOMMENDED INITIAL SETTINGS
Pattern: Overedge (right) stitch
Stitch width: Variable
Foot: General purpose
1. Turn the stitch length dial to the position of flexible
stitch patterns (mark "I").
2. Place fabric under presser foot.
3. Adjust stitch width in a way that the right stitch is
inside the fabric and the left ones are placed on the
fabric. This procedure will allow that the edge of the
fabric be involved bythe thread.
4. When sewing, use flexible stitch adjustment selec-
tor, turning it to the right or left in order to obtain the
visual effect desired.
