Pressing and holding the up arrow and down arrow keys while
setting a parameter will increase the speed at which you scroll
through the values.

The control unit lights up and, after a few seconds, during which the
Manufacturer's device is displayed, a screen like the one illustrated
in fig. 11 appears.
The display is divided vertically into two parts, one at the top and
one at the bottom, separated by a horizontal black line (fig. 12 O and
P).
The top part contains the icons showing the oven status, while the
bottom part contains the parameters that can be set by the operator.
The part at the top with a black ground shows, on the left, the date,
day of the week and time, and on the right the Manufacturer's device.
Immediately below, the first icon seen is the one indicating the status
of the two fans (top and bottom). The icon shows a fan, which will
start turning when the fans are actually operating.
The heating element icon is shown below the fan icon. It is shown in
dotted lines when the heating elements are turned off, whereas when
they are turned on it is more or less "black", according to the
percentage power applied.
Alongside these icons is the carriage icon, which starts to turn when
the carriage is actually active.
Under the three icons appear phrases describing the status of the
oven at any given time.
The bottom part of the display starts under the black dividing line.
The parameters that can be set here are, in a clockwise direction:
oven set point temperature;
-
timer status at end of cooking (represented by the clock icon);
-
end of cooking timer counter;
-
suction hood status (represented by the hood icon);
-
steam duration settings ("SET" in bottom right hand corner);
-
Extramenu ;
When a settable parameter is selected for modification, it is
highlighted to show white lettering on a black ground.
To move from one selectable parameter to another, use the right and
left arrow keys. Each time these keys are pressed the selection
changes and the new parameter selected is displayed with white
lettering on a black ground.
Once the required parameter has been selected, change the value
using the up and down arrows.
N.B. The above operations can also be carried out with the oven
working, except for changing of the working mode (manual or using
a program). When this is activated, the oven will immediately turn
off.
3.2.4 EXTRAMENU
Select the item EXTRAMENU to access a menu in which the
following items appear:
-
Manual;
-
Programs;
-
Daily timer
-
Carriage;
-
Set clock
The individual items in this menu will be discussed later.
3.2.5 OPERATING IN "MANUAL" MODE
On start-up, after displaying the Manufacturer's device for a few
seconds, the screen shown in figure 1 is displayed, with the settings
for the last cooking operation carried out.
Let us now look at "MANUAL" mode.
If you wish to start cooking, press the "START/STOP" button. The
"HEATING ELEMENTS" icon will darken to indicate that the
heating elements have been activated, and the "FAN" and
"CARRIAGE" will start to turn to indicate that they are working.
The message "HEATING" will also be displayed (fig. 13).
A continuous beep and the message "OVEN READY" indicate that
the set point temperature has been reached. When in this state, it is
possible to start the timer counter (paragraph 3.2.6).
To turn the oven off, press the "START/STOP" button again, which
will also move the carriage back to the front. This state is confirmed
by the message "OVEN OFF".
3.2.6 ENABLING AND DISABLING THE TIMER
Enabling and disabling of the cooking timer is restricted by the status
of the parameter depicted by the clock icon. This parameter will only
support two states:
-
Enabled, shown by a clearly defined clock icon (fig. 14 item
Q);
-
Disabled, shown by a "dotted" clock icon (fig. 14 item R);
To pass from one state to the other, simply select this parameter
using the left and right arrow keys, and then use the up and down
arrow keys to change its state. As it is a parameter with only two
possible states, it is also possible to change from one to the other by
pressing "OK" instead of the up and down arrow keys.
When it is in disabled state, it is not possible to start the cooking
timer counter.
Vice versa, when it is in the enabled state, simply press "OK" when
in "OVEN READY" mode to start the timer counter immediately.
3.2.7 ENABLING, STARTING AND STOPPING THE END OF
COOKING TIMER
The cooking timer is one of the parameters that can be accessed
directly from the main screen of the display, using the right and left
arrow keys. It is in the lower part of the screen, and is located under
the clock icon.
Once it has been selected, the value can be adjusted using the up and
down arrow keys just like all the other parameters that can be set by
the operator. The maximum cooking time is 10 hours.
This operation can also be performed in program mode, but in this
case it will immediately cause the oven to revert to manual mode.
The timer can only be started if two conditions are met:
-
the oven is in a state of "OVEN READY", i.e. the set point
temperature has been reached;
-
the icon depicting the clock is in enabled state, i.e. clearly
defined and dark in colour.
To start the timer, providing the above conditions have been met,
simply press "OK".
To stop the timer once it has started, select the clock icon and change
its state to disabled. The timer will stop immediately and the counter
will return to the starting value.
If you press "START/STOP" while the timer counter is working, a
window of the type shown in fig.15 will be displayed.
During this phase the oven is switched off, with the carriage in the
correct position, while the timer stops counting down. The operator
can therefore adjust the product being cooked in the oven, by
opening the door, without stopping the countdown (in this phase it is
not possible to modify the selectable parameters).
The operator has two options:
-
to start the oven again and proceed with cooking, simply press
"OK";
-
to stop cooking, simply press "START/STOP".
This operation can be carried out a number of times during a cooking
cycle.
When the end of the cooking time has been reached, an intermittent
beep will be sounded for one minute (the frequency of the beeps
increasing after the first 20 sec.). This can be stopped by pressing a
button. The oven will remain on, in "OVEN READY" state, waiting
to carry out a new cooking cycle, which it started by pressing "OK".
3.2.8 ENABLING AND SETTING STEAMING
To set the duration of water spraying, select the parameter that
corresponds to this function, which can be found in the bottom right
hand corner of the display and is represented by the word "SET".
Once this has been selected, press either the up arrow or down arrow
key or "OK", access the spray injection time setting box (Fig. 16).
Increase or decrease the time from 1" to 4" using the up and down
arrow keys, and press OK to confirm the selected time. This will be
displayed to the left of the word "SET".
