7. VOLTAGE REGULATOR
7.1 Rheostat for remote voltage regulator
For all generators the rheostat in question can be inserted between the "P-Q" terminals (FAST-ON terminal) of
the regulator auxiliary terminal panel.
The external potentiometer must be inserted with the cursor set to the intermediate position; then you can
operate the RDT internal potentiometer to get a value close to the rated voltage. Please refer to the manual of
the Regulator.
7.2 Manual excitation control
In case of voltage regulator failure, you can use the manual control alternator, provided any 24 V direct current
source is available.
This source may consist of a battery of accumulators or of a device transforming and rectifying the alternator
output voltage.
