3. Desingage and remove the metallic bracket (H) from the child seat, pulling it
backwards.
4. Desingage and remove the metallic mounting plate (J1).
5. Hold the metallic bracket (H) the same as in the picture and pass it through the
opening in the child bicycle seat.
6. In order to adjust the child bicycle seat according to the bicycle size, set the metallic
bracket (H) into one of the three allowed positions to move the seat backward or
forward. At the beginning we suggest to place it on the position No. 3.
7. Insert the metallic mounting plate (J1) on the grooves of the child bicycle seat, and
close it as indicated in the picture.
8. Place the screw (J2) into the metallic mounting plate (J1) fixing both into to the seat
(A). Then tighten it securely with the key (I5). Tighten tightly so that the metal bracket (H)
is securely fastened. This step is extremely important for the safety of the child.
9. Remove the screws (I1) on the mounting block (I), with the Allen key no. 5 (I5).
10. Before placing the block onto the frame, make sure that the protective rubber (I8) is
correctly positioned on front of the block.
11. Place the main body of the mounting block (I2) on the front of the bicycle frame, and
then place the metallic mounting plate (I4).
Note: If they are cables in this area make sure that they are correctly positioned in the
central groove of the metallic plate, (between the protective rubber (I8) and the groove
of the mounting plate (I4) and are able to move freely).
12. Place the washer (I6) in the M8 screws (I1), and then screw them on to the mounting
block (I). Tighten the screws, with the Key (I5), so that the mounting block (I) is secured
but not fully tightened so that, if necessary, you can adjust the height later. However,
note that it should be tight to make it easier to complete the next step. You need to
tighten the 4 screws diagonally and in stages. Check the safety of the fasteners
regularly.
13. Place the edges of the metallic bracket (H) at the holes of the mounting block (I) until
you hear a click indicating the lock, and until the 2 green safety device indicators pop up
on the front of the mounting block. The child bicycle seat will only be properly installed
when the 2 green safety device indicators are visible. This step is extremely important
for the child's safety.
14. Centre and adjust the metallic bracket (H) at a height above the rear wheel, so that
later, when you add the weight of the child, the child bicycle seat does not touch the
wheel. Note that the metallic bracket (H) should be positioned at a maximum of 10
cm away from the wheel. The child seat has a center of gravity (F) (engraved on the
child seat) that must be positioned in front of the rear wheel axle. If it is positioned
behind the axle, the distance must not exceed 10 cm. If the center of gravity is at a
upper distance from the axle, adjust the metal bracket to one of the available
positions. Special care must also be taken when positioning the child seat to ensure
that the cyclist does not touch the child seat with his feet when cycling.
Note: In Germany, according to the German Traffic Law StVZO, bicycle seats may only be
fixed so that 2/3 of the seat depth or the Gravity Center of the seat is located between
the front and rear axle of the bicycle.
15. After adjusting the height and positioning of the seat, hand tighten the mounting
block (I) to ensure that it cannot move. This tightening must be manual and is extremely
important for the safety of the child. Make sure that the mounting block (I) is firmly
attached. You need to hand tight the 4 screws diagonally, with the same force and in
stages (I5).
16. Pass the safety belt (C) around the bicycle frame. Adjust it as shown in the picture,
under tension. Make sure that remain loosen belt is not in contact with the wheel. This
step is extremely important for the child's safety.
17. To place the child in the seat, first open the belt. Start by pressing the releases on
the sides of the safety buckle (B4) and pull the buckle (B1) upwards, so that it slides out
of the socket (B5). Place the child in the seat. Insert the safety buckle (B1) in its socket
again (B5). Make sure that the buckle socket (B5) is correctly positioned and does not
hurt the child. Next, adjust the belt to the size of the child to ensure that the child is
firmly secured. First adjust the height of the belt. To do this, pull the straps according
to the size of the child, adjusting the (B2) and (B3) belt adjusters. According to the child
growth you can adjust the height of the belt on the available holes for belt adjustment
(B6) . Before starting the journey, always check that the child is secured and that the belt
is snug but not so tight that it hurts the child. We recommend that the child's helmet be
put on after the belt is adjusted.
Note: Always use the restraint system.
18. Adjust the height of the footrest according to the size of the child. To do this, raise de
lever (E1) and slide it up or down for the required height. After deciding on the correct
height, lower the lever (E1) to lock in place.
