With the tyre changers a pneumatic tyre bead breaker
is part of the standard equipment.
Please mind the special handling of Run-flat tires, wheels
with TD rims or rims having an asymmetric hump.
3.1 Adjustment of the bead breaker blade
– Version 2-speed 24 and 2-speed 24 GP
To ensure that the tire sides, the rim flanges or the inner
side of the rim (especially with alloy rims) are not
damaged by the bead breaker blade, the 2-speed version
machines, both Gp and not, are equipped with an
adjusting screw (Fig. 7,Pos. X ) that controls the travel
of the bead breaker blade (rim contour) during the bead
breaking operation. Adjustment and rim contour are
illustrated in Fig. 7.

Adjusting the blade angle and oscillation
Both the penetration angle of the blade on the tire beak
and the free oscillating movement limit operated during
bead breaking can be adjusted using the screw knob
and the lock nut (1-2,Fig.7).
Adjusting the PENETRATION ANGLE:
• Turn the lateral adjustment knob (1) to determine
the penetration angle of the bead breaker blade:
- Tighten the knob to increase the incidence of the
blade on the tire beak (the action is direct and
marked).
- Loosen the knob to reduce the incidence of the
blade (this increases penetration control).
Limiting the OSCILLATING MOVEMENT
• Adjust the lock nut (3,Fig.7) to determine the range
of the tilting action.
- Tighten the nut towards the arm to increase the
tilting action of the blade.
- Loosen the nut by turning it towards the knob to
limit the angular mobility off the blade.
Note: After adjusting the angle the blade limit can be
fixed permanently by loosening the lock nut completely.
