devices that do not bear this marking can

Caution: Longer cycles, such as those
recommended for control or elimination of
Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies,
may be utilized. However, a device exposed
to longer cycles should be expected to have
reduced functional life.
Warning: Drying time depends on several
variables including altitude, humidity, type
of wrap, preconditioning, size of chamber,
mass of load, and placement in the
chamber. Users must verify that drying time
set in their autoclave yields dry surgical
equipment.
