Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 1984-1988

1. Remove the cigarette lighter. Remove the radio knobs.
2. Unsnap and remove the trim panel from around the factory radio. (Figure A)
3. Remove the (1) Phillips screw from the right side of the ashtray housing.
4. Then remove the Phillips screws holding the factory radio, remove the radio unit
itself and disconnect wiring from the rear of the unit.
5. Remove the original brackets that mount the factory radio to the dash.
(Figure B)
Note: Keep the old brackets for mounting the new radio.

Pontiac 6000 1982-1991

1. By opening the glove box, you can now remove the (1) Phillips screw in the side
of the trim panel around the factory radio. (Figure A)
2. Remove the trim panel and dummy plate from the dashboard and set aside.
3. Remove the (2) Phillips screws holding the factory radio, remove the radio unit
itself and disconnect wiring from the rear of the unit.
4. Locate the Metra Bracket Set #5. Then, using wire cutters, cut and remove all
mounting tabs on the Bracket Set EXCEPT the tabs marked on the back with a
letter "A". (Figure B)
