Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais 1984-1991

1. Remove the console/glove box
assembly and the (3) Phillips screws
just below the box.
2. Lift up the parking brake trim and
then remove the (2) Phillips screws
from the gearshift trim.
3. Remove the ashtray from the
gearshift area. Then remove
the (2) 7mm screws exposed under
the ashtray.
4. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, press
down on the retainer tabs on the
dashboard ashtray, pull it out and
them remove the (2) 7mm Hex-head
screws from the ashtray bracket.

5. Remove the trim panel from
around the radio and set aside. Then
remove the Phillips screws holding
the factory radio, remove the radio
unit itself and disconnect wiring
from the rear of the unit.
6. Remove the original brackets
that mount the factory radio to the
dash. (Figure B)
Note: Keep the old brackets for
mounting the new radio.

Oldsmobile Omega 1983-1984

1. Remove the (4) hex-head screws from the steering column trim panel.

2. Pull down on the rear edge of the panel, remove and set aside.
3. Remove the (2) Phillips screws holding the factory radio, remove the radio unit
itself and disconnect wiring from the rear of the unit.
4. Locate the Metra Bracket Set #2. Then, using wire cutters, cut and remove all
mounting tabs on the Bracket Set EXCEPT the tabs marked on the back with a
letter "C". (Figure B)
