Buick Skylark 1983-1985
1. Remove the (4) Phillips screws from the top edge of the instrument panel.
2. Remove the (1) Phillips screw from the bottom, left-hand corner of the
instrument panel. (Figure A)
3. Remove the (2) Phillips screws from the steering column plastic trim, then
remove the trim itself. (Figure A)
4. Carefully pull up and out on the plastic trim ring around the factory radio,
remove it and set aside.
5. Remove the radio and disconnect wiring from the rear of the unit.
6. Remove the original brackets that mount the factory radio to the dash.

Note: Keep the old brackets for mounting the new radio.

Buick Skylark 1987-1989
1. Carefully unsnap the gear shifter trim ring from the base of the console.
2. Remove the (2) Phillips screws holding the bottom of the plastic dash trim ring,
remove the trim ring and set aside. (Figure A)
3. Remove the radio and disconnect wiring from the rear of the unit.
4. Remove the original brackets that mount the factory radio to the dash.

Note: Keep the old brackets for mounting the new radio.
