This kit will allow you (4) different types of mounting depths for whichever situation
your vehicle requires. Refer to the illustration below for desired mounting depths:

For 1/2" recessed installations:
Extend the slots on the sides of the Metra extension housing by using wire cutters
to cut a slot that opens 1/4" from the face of the housing. (Figure B)
For 1" extended installations:
Slide the Metra spacers into the slots on the sides of the extension housing as
indicated in the illustration. (Figure C)
