Oldsmobile Toronado 1982-1985
1. Remove the console/glove box
assembly and the (3) Phillips screws
just below the box.
2. Press down on the clip found just
behind the headlight knob and
remove the knob itself.
3. Remove the (3) Phillips screws
holding the plastic steering column
trim and remove the trim piece.
4. Remove the (4) Phillips screws
holding the bottom edge of the
plastic trim panel around the
factory radio, carefully pull the trim
(Figure A)

panel completely away from the
dashboard and set aside. (Figure A)
5. Now remove the Phillips screws
holding the factory radio, remove
the radio unit itself and disconnect
wiring from the rear of the unit.
6. Remove the original brackets that
mount the factory radio to the dash.

Note: Keep the old brackets for
mounting the new radio.

Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera 1982-1996
1. Remove the ashtray and (2) Phillips
screws from beneath the ashtray.
2. Remove the (1) Phillips screw below
the steering column, and the (2)
Phillips screws above the column.
Carefully pry the A/C vents out from
the dashboard and remove the
exposed Phillips screws. (Figure A)
3. Remove the (6) Phillips screws from
the edges of the trim panel around
the factory radio, remove the panel
and set aside.

4. Remove the Phillips screws holding
the factory radio, remove the radio
unit itself and disconnect wiring
from the rear of the unit.
5. Remove the original brackets that
mount the factory radio to the dash.

Note: Keep the old brackets for
mounting the new radio.
