4 Unscrew seal screw and install provided gas ballast adapter and 1/8'' NPT
sintered filter plug.

5 Lock the scroll pump support by screwing the screws.
Be careful during pump support closing to prevent damage to system
CAUTION
components (vacuum pipes and connectors).
During the operation of the gas ballast feature the noise may increase.

NOTES
There is not a predefined amount of time to let the gas ballast open:
•
it depends on the amount of moisture trapped in the system.
Do not exceed 2.8 Nm of torque when installing the adapter into the manifold.
CAUTION
For more details about gas ballast refer to the manuals of the single TPS-compact
components.
Use the provided adapter and 1/8" NPT sintered filter plug in order to avoid

dust entrance.
The gas ballast must be sealed whenever pumping any gas not intended

to be vented to atmosphere.
