Internal Scroll Pump
runs intermittently
Overtemperature
* The internal Scroll Pump is equipped with an auto-reset thermal motor protector.
This protector automatically shuts down the pump when it detects an overload
condition, and automatically restarts the pump when the motor has cooled to
within an acceptable temperature range.
Overtemperature:
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the pump when the temperature exceeds 60 °C,
the sensor automatically cuts off the power supply.

pump.
Corrective Actions
Allow motor to cool. Identify cause of
overload.
Locate and repair leak.
Check size and length of cable.
Check fuses and if necessary replace.
Locate and repair leak.
Flush the system with air (use provided
IDP3GBKIT) or dry nitrogen.
Flush the system with air (use provided
IDP3GBKIT) or dry nitrogen.
Install trap or filter.
Replace tip seals.
Replumb with shorter and/or larger diameter
tubing.
Check ventilation to TPS-compact. Check
ambient temperature.
Flush the TPS-compact. Disassemble pump
and inspect.
Allow the scroll motor to cool. Identify the
cause of the overload.
Check if the rotor freely rotates.
