PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND
ADJUSTMENTS
REMOVING THE SIDE PANELS
For some maintenance operations, one or both the
side panels need to be removed.
To remove the left-and right-hand side panels,
operate as follows:
- Unscrew the screw (2).
- Lift the panel (1) releasing it from the upper hooks
ENGINE-TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL
Keeping the motorbike level and upright, check the oil
level through the inspection window (1) on the right
crankcase. Check that the level is in the middle of
the sight glass "A" between the MIN and MAX notch.
To fill up, remove the filler cap (2).
Note
Check the oil level when the engine has just been
turned off and is still hot.

Be careful not to touch hot engine oil.

ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE

Carry out this operation with the engine hot

Be careful not to touch the hot oil.
- Position the motorcycle on a flat surface in vertical
position.
- Remove the RH side panel as described in the
relative paragraph.
- Remove the oil dipstick (1).
- Place a basin underneath the oil tank in
correspondence to the drain plug (2).

- Unscrew the drain plug (2) located at the bottom of
the oil tank and let all the oil drain out.
- Place a basin underneath the engine in
correspondence to the drain plug (8).
- Unscrew the drain plug (8) located on the left-
hand side of the engine and let all the oil drain out.
- Undo the two screws (3) and remove the cap (4).
- Remove the filter (5), check its condition and
replace it if necessary.
- Refit the drain plug (2) and the drain plug (8)
replacing the sealing washer (tightening torque:
20Nm).
