9. Alarm signal display area:
o "Good ventilation": all the ventilation parameters calculated are within the appropriate range of values as
defined in the international guidelines.
o "Insufficient volume": the volume of air insufflated to the patient is significantly lower than the values given
in the international guidelines
EN
o "Excessive volume": the volume of air insufflated to the patient is significantly higher than the values given
in the international guidelines
o "Low frequency": the ventilation frequency is much significantly than the values given in the international
guidelines
o "High frequency" (for continuous mode): the ventilation frequency is significantly higher than the values
given in the international guidelines
o "Important leakage": the difference calculated between the volume of air/oxygen insufflated and the volume
expired is too great This may be because the mask is not positioned correctly, due to improper intubation
Note
See details of alarms in "X. 1 c) Alarm conditions and alarm signals".
(oesophageal intubation) or because the ventilation circuit is not properly sealed
10. On the basic interface: displays an operating instruction based on the resuscitation mode chosen instead of the
Vi, Vt and Freq values
