The ORBITWIN SW switching device is not an autonomous device and may only be operated in connection with the ORBITALUM
power supplies, weld heads and accessories listed in chap. 4.1.

Characteristics
• The ORBITWIN SW allows the simultaneous connection of any two, also different, weld torch types or compatible accessories
to one ORBIMAT power supply.
• This allows alternating working with two different weld torches and weld parameters.
• The switching device makes replacing of the weld torches unnecessary, thus increasing the productivity.
• The switchover between the two weld torches is effected via the control panel integrated in the weld torch or directly via the
switchover keys integrated in the ORBITWIN SW.
• A separate welding procedure can be loaded in the power supply for each channel. This automatically changes over as well
when switching over from one channel to another.
• Take into account that welding can only be carried out alternatively with the weld torches.
• The control system automatically blocks the switchover possibility while a welding process is running. At the inactive weld
torch the functions for traveling the rotor remain active. This means that the inactive weld torch can be prepared for the next
welding process. In addition the inactive weld torch can alternatively continue to be supplied with weld gas in order to prevent
contamination of the torch gear with oxygen.
