ENGINE OIL FILTER CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Follow the procedure below:

IMPORTANT
Turn off the engine and remove the
ignition key. Wait at least 6 minutes
before disconnecting the negative
battery cable.
1 - Carry out the operation with the engine
cold.
2 - Prepare a container under the filter to
collect any leak.
3 - Unscrew the cartridge (A) with suitable
standard wrench and replace it. Clean the
surface of the support in contact with the
oil cartridge with a clean, lint-free cloth.
4 - Lubricate the seal of the new cartridge
(B) with engine oil before assembling it.
5 - Assemble the new oil cartridge and
manually tighten it until it locks.
IMPORTANT
Check the engine oil filter cartridge
tightening using a torque wrench
calibrated at 12.7 Nm.
In case of need, contact a workshop
authorised by VM MOTORI
STELLANTIS EUROPE or the
manufacturer of the vehicle where the
engine is installed.
6 - Turn the engine on and keep it running
at idle speed for approx. five minutes at
a temperature of 70°C - 80°C (158°F -
176°F).

7 - Turn off the engine and remove the
ignition key.
8 - Wait for a few minutes so that the oil
flows into the sump.
9 - Check the correct oil level and, if
necessary, top it up (see Engine Oil Level
Check on page 45).
10 - Start the engine, leave it at idle speed
with no load applied. Make sure there are
no oil leaks. Check the oil pressure (see
General Data table on page 14).
11 - Turn off the engine at the end of the
check.
