DPF DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER REGENERATION WARNING LIGHT
When the DPF Diesel Particulate
Regeneration warning light turns on
the DPF regeneration process is required.
This process can be activated:
1 - by driving the vehicle as prescribed
by the manufacturer, with engine at
operating temperature of 70°C - 80°C
(158°F - 176°F), in any case not lower
than 65°C (149°F) until the warning light
turns off. If the warning light remains
on, turn off the engine and contact
immediately the manufacturer of the
vehicle or a workshop authorised by VM
MOTORI STELLANTIS EUROPE.
2 - by pressing the Dedicated Button-
Operated Device (see page 30).
IMPORTANT
The activation frequency of Diesel
Particulate Filter Regeneration warning
lamp may depend on the conditions of
use of the vehicle in which the engine is
installed.

CAUTION - WARNING
If the Particulate Filter regeneration
request of the DPF warning light is
ignored, also the MIL warning light
turns on to signal a problem on the anti-
pollution control system.
The MIL warning light may turn on
together with other warning lamps
installed
by the manufacturer of the vehicle in
which the engine is installed. If the
MIL warning light turns on, contact
the manufacturer of the vehicle or a
workshop authorised by VM MOTORI
STELLANTIS EUROPE.
Irreversible damage to particulate filter
may occur if the engine is used with
DPF particulate filter and MIL warning
lights on.
