5.7 Capacitor (only for models with single-phase pumps)
The pumpBOX lifting station with single-phase pumps requires the connection of a capacitor within the electrical control panel for each installed
pump.
The capacitor is supplied with the lifting station and must be connected to the relevant terminals in the electrical control panel by a qualified tech-
nician.

Inrush capacitor (Cs)
5.8 Connection to the electrical control panel
Follow the indications in the manual for the electrical control panel to identify the connection terminals of the pump and sensors.

6. COMMISSIONING
6.1 Checking the direction of rotation of the impeller
Before proceedingwith the electrical connection of the pump, a qualified technician must check that the direction of rotation of the impeller is
correct.
An adhesive label is attached to the pump indicating the correct direction of rotation of the impeller (green arrow), i.e. clockwise when the pump
is viewed from above (see Section 2.6.3).
caution
If the power supply to the electrical control panel is via a clockwise wired network, the direction of rotation of the impeller
will be correct if the conductors are connected according to the diagram in the manual.
Alternatively, we recommend the use of a motor and FLUKE 9062 type phase rotation indicator, which allows non-contact detection and is ideal
for motors with a non-visible shaft.
Proceed as follows:
1. Temporarily connect the yellow-green conductor to the earth socket of the system.
2. Connect the power supply wires to the contactor.
3. Power the pump on.
4. Bring the instrument close to the motor to read the direction of rotation: the "L" light (counter-clockwise rotation)
activates indicating the correct direction of rotation. If the direction of rotation is incorrect, reverse the connection of
two of the three power phases of the pump to the electrical control panel and try again by repeating the procedure
described above.
5. Once this verification has been carried out, stop the pump and proceed with the installation of the lifting station.
ON
caution
Incorrect direction of rotation results in lower hydraulic performance than indicated on the nameplate.
caution
If several pumps are connected to one electrical control panel, the direction of rotation of each installed pump must be
checked.
6.2 Testing
Onceinstallation is complete, a qualified technician must perform a system test:
• Check electrical connections.
• Check that the pipes are secured and the connections are correctly sealed.
• Open the shut-off valves on the outlet and discharge pipes.
• Fill the lifting station tank by flushing clean water from the toilet 3 - 4 times.
• Check the system for leaks and check that the pump operates correctly when the liquid reaches the start and stop levels.
caution
Make sure that the system is operating correctly by simulating at least 2 work cycles. With the maximum inlet flow rate, tank
emptying and the correct on/off cycles indicated on the nameplate (starts per hour and %S3) must be observed.
