7.5.4 Alarm float (see Annex 8)
1. Disconnect the pump from the electrical control panel and make sure that it cannot be started up accidentally.
2. Unscrew the locking ring nut of the level sensor and pull it out to access the inside of the tank.
3. Unscrew the lock nut on the alarm float and remove it from the tank.
4. Remove any residue on the alarm float and check that it can slide freely along the support rod.
5. Replace the alarm float in its seat and lock it with the nut.
6. Replace the level sensor in its housing and lock it with the ring nut.
7.6 Replacement parts
Whenrepairing or replacing parts, only use genuine replacement parts.
Use of non-original replacement parts may result in personal injury or damage to property and will invalidate the warranty.
When requesting replacement parts, always specify the serial number and the exact product designation indicated on the nameplate.
7.7 Scheduled maintenance and assistance service
Scheduled maintenancewill extend the service life of the lifting station and help to avoid abnormal operating conditions which could damage the
system.
These operations require specific equipment and in-depth knowledge of the lifting station and must therefore be carried out by a specialised tech-
nician or Authorised Service Centre.
A scheduled maintenance contract with a ZENIT Authorised Service Centre guarantees the best technical service.
ZENIT warranty conditions are only valid if repair and maintenance work is carried out by an Authorised Service Centre.
We also recommend that you contact an Authorised Service Centre if, during operation, the pump exhibits high noise and vibration levels or ab-
normal behaviour.
If it is necessary to send the lifting station for repair or overhaul, it is recommended that any parts contaminated by wastewater be flushed thor-
oughly and that any use with hazardous liquids be reported.
The type and frequency of scheduled maintenance work are shown in the table
Interval
Every month
Every 6 months or after 3000
hours, whichever occurs first
Annually
Every 2 years or after 9000
hours, whichever occurs first
Once every 2 - 5 years, de-
pending on the volume of work
performed
Check that the current consumption is within the rated value.
Check that the supply voltage is within ± 5% of the rated value.
• Check the pump: if pump performance has decreased compared to original performance, the impeller may be
clogged or blocked by debris: remove debris and replace any damaged parts.
• Check cables
• Insulation resistance measurement: insulation resistance reference value = min. 20 MΩ.
NOTE: The motor must be checked if the insulation resistance value is noticeably lower than during the previous
check.
Check that screws and ring nuts are tightened correctly
Tighten the screws if necessary and replace the threadlock.
Check:
• cables
• oil
• mechanical tightness
• bearings
• parts subject to wear (impeller, suction flange,...)
If the oil contains water, check the mechanical seals.
NOTE: Always replace rubber components (o-rings, gaskets) if the pump is to be dismantled during the inspec-
tion.
Change the oil
Replace mechanical seals
Complete overhaul
The pump must be overhauled even if it is working correctly.
