CAUTION
The machine allows the operators to
select how to apply the adhesive weight
at 12 o'clock or 6 o'clock (LAS if laser
pointer is present), depending on their
requirements.
To change the application position for the
adhesive weights, follow the instructions
in chapter "Adhesive weight application
position".
USE OF THE PROGRAM ALU 1P
OR ALU 2P WITHOUT AUTOMATIC
ACQUISITION
When the Diameter/Distance sensor is
disabled, it is possible to use the special
programs ALU 1P and ALU 2P.
Since it is not possible to automatically
acquire the two planes with the Distance/
Diameter sensor, you must manually enter
the two pairs of values A-1/d-1 and A-2/d-2
(in case of ALU 1P program) or A/d-1 and
A-2/d-2 (in case of ALU 2P program) as
shown in chapter Manual entering of the
106
wheel dimensions for the ALU 1P, ALU 2P
program types.
To find the position along the rim section,
remove the Distance sensor until you read
the manually-set distance value A-1 or A-2,
on the graduated scale.
At this point, take note of the plane
identified by the sensor and apply the
weight using 6 o'clock as reference if the
"LAS" or "H.6" configuration is active and 12
o'clock if the "H12" or "CLP" configuration
is active. In the case of Program Type ALU
2P, the A position always corresponds to
the rim internal edge and application is
always at 12 o'clock.
(AVAILABLE ONLY WITH THE
This program divides the external balancing

weight W into two weights W1 and W2
(smaller than the weight W) located in two
positions selected by the operator.
The two weights W1 and W2 must reach a
maximum angle of 120° and the position
of W weight, as shown in Figure 27.
