The three RPA modes have functions that
are slightly different one from the other
although, in all modes, the ultimate goal
is to block the wheel at an angular position
of imbalance and make operator's tasks
quicker.
Automatic RPA procedure
During the automatic RPA procedure, the
machine will measure the rotational speed
during braking at completion of the spin
and, when this reaches a predetermined
value, the wheel will spin freely by inertia.
When the speed is low enough, the machine
will be able to lock the wheel in the exact
imbalance position.
Low speed RPA procedure
In the low speed RPA procedure, the wheel
has already run the spin and is stationary.
The operator presses [P8] Start
with wheel guard lifted, wheel starts up
at low speed until it reaches the first
imbalance angular position.
For machines without wheel guard, the
procedure is started up by pressing
[P9+P8]
starts up at low speed until it reaches the
first imbalance angular position.
Manual RPA procedure
In this mode, the RPA procedure is
activated by having the operator manually
rotate the wheel. When the wheel is in an
angular position of imbalance, press [P9]
to activate the locking.
Proceed as follows to disable the automatic
position search program:
