Remove all debris from the brush head.
Grasp the channel brush (leading end) of the DuoSwift™ cleaning brush catheter and, using short strokes, pull the

squeegee portion through the entire length of accessory channel of the insertion tube of the endoscope until it is
completely removed from the endoscope.
h.
Remove all debris from the squeegee portion.
i.
Inspect the white catheter, at connections points to brush and squeegee, for cracks, missing bristles/brush/squeegee.
j.
Repeat steps e-i in order to brush the suction channel of the universal cord and endoscope connector.
Brush the valve stem openings with the channel brush (leading end) of the DuoSwift™ cleaning brush.

Remove all debris from the brush head.
m. Brush biopsy valve with the channel brush (leading end) of the squeegee cleaning brush.
n.
Repeat any steps as necessary according to manufacturer's guidelines.
o.
Dispose of cleaning brush according to facility protocol.

If using the valve/control head cleaning brush (Figure 2.):
a.
Brush the suction cylinder housing
b.
Remove all debris from the brush.
c.
Brush the control head and control dials.
d.
Remove all debris from the brush.
e.
Brush the accessory/instrument channel port of the endoscope.
f.
Remove all debris from the brush.
g.
Brush the valve stem openings (Optional if using this brush instead of channel brush for cleaning this area).
h.
Remove all debris from brush.
i.
Repeat any steps as necessary according to manufacturer's guidelines.
j.
Dispose of cleaning brush according to facility protocol.

If cleaning an endoscope with an elevator, brush the elevator and surrounding area according to manufacturer's
guidelines.
