Manual Cleaning Procedure
Cleaning and Disinfection should be performed with a quat-based (Quaternary Ammonium) germicidal wipe
using the following method. A minimum of two wipes are needed for cleaning/disinfection to be effective.
1)
Unplug the motor module from the power supply and remove and discard the sterile motor module cover.
2)
Using a fresh germicidal disposable wipe, remove heavy soil as needed for a minimum of one minute.
Wipe all surfaces including cord, paying close attention to the pinion gear and bottom surface of the module
as shown. Include cleaning of the on/off button.

3)
Ensure Grooves and crevices are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected (see arrows below).
4)
Visually inspect surfaces for visible soil. Repeat step 1 as needed until no further visible soil is present.
5)
Wipe the module using a second fresh wipe that has been unfolded to wet all surfaces including the
electrical cord.
6)
Use additional wipes as needed to ensure the surfaces remain wet for a minimum of 5 minutes.
7)
Wipe the motor module utilizing a disposable, lint-free cloth dampened with sterile water.
8)
Allow the motor module to dry for a minimum of 2 minutes before starting another procedure.
