STROBOSCOPIC LIGHT AND BACKLIGHTING
The Stroboscopic light and Backlighting are optical devices to allow study of the continuous and periodical
movement of the spraying angles / sprays of fluid generated by the injector in the test tubes during a test, checking
the injection uniformity.
Availability of signal to stroboscopic light.
Best results are obtained with
For
(sequencial) actuation, the result depends on the characteristics of the injector and
frequency range (best results between 3000 and 6000 RPM).
Position the stroboscopic gun so as to project the light in the injector spray from the bottom up and if
possible behind the test tubes, it eliminates reflexes and improves visualization.
INJECTION UNIFORMITY (SPRAYING ANGLE/SPRAY)
The format of the spraying angles may vary according to each injector model, but they must be equal for injectors
from the same assembly.
RELATIVE VOLUME OF INJECTION
The volume of injected fluid must be compatible with the injector . In cases of multipoint injection, there must be
equality among injectors from the same set. Average differences of 10% can be accepted. May not represent a
failure.
The flow from the injector(s) is related to the specific actuation characteristics of the Multijet PRO. It should not be
compared with the flow in the vehicle, in other equipments or in different conditions (pressure and others) performed
between the tests analyzed in the Multijet PRO.
FOR CASES WHERE SOME OT THESE CHARCTERISTICAS ARE NOT CORRECT, ULTRASOUND
(simultaneous) actuation. See tests 5, 7 and 9
CLEANING SHOULD BE PERFORMED.
