6.2.2 Rear axle
This is a sealed single unit that does not require maintenance. It is
permanently lubricated and its lubricant does not need changing or
topping up.
6.2.3 Battery
To ensure long life to the battery it is es-
sential to keep it properly maintained. The
machine battery must always be charged:
– before using the machine for the first time
after purchase(
3.1);
– before leaving the machine idle for a long
period;
– before starting up the machine after
a prolonged period of inactivity.
The machine comes with a connector
(1) for recharging; this is connected
to the corresponding connector for
the special maintenance battery-
charger supplied.
IMPORTANT
No device other
than a battery charger should be connected to this connector.
When inactive, the charge level can be kept constant by using the
supplied maintenance battery charger.
IMPORTANT
The charge must be maintained with the battery
charger following the guidelines in the relevant operating instruc-
tions. Other recharging systems can irreversibly damage the bat-
tery.
A drained battery should be recharged as soon as possible, other-
wise the battery elements may be irreparably damaged.
Periodically check the electrolyte level; for topping up, use ONLY
distilled battery water.

6.3 CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS

6.3.1 Removing, replacing and rebalancing of cutting means
A badly sharpened cutting means pulls out the grass, reduces the
loading capacity and causes the lawn to turn yellow.
IMPORTANT
To access the cutting means, remove the cutting-
means assembly using a quick release system that allows easy
removal from the machine.
a) Removing the cutting-means assembly
Remove the side guards before re-
moving the cutting-means assembly.

as parallel as it was before.
Having checked that there is
nothing in the way, the cutting-
means assembly can be re-
moved, turning it anti-clockwise
so that all the pins come out of
their positions.
To assemble, perform the opera-
tions described above in reverse
order making sure that the front
end of the discharge chute is positioned correctly in relation to the
