4 . Since the internal evaluation of the sensor signals is not instan-
taneous, the material must not be detected too closely in front
of the light beams of the photoelectric safety switch. A minimum
distance must be observed (see Fig. 3-5).

A minimum distance must be provided between the beams of the photoelectric
switch and the detection line of the muting sensors.

Calculation of the minimum distance:
m [m] = v [m/s] x 0.125 s

Override

The override function is used to move the object located in the
muting zone out of the monitoring zone in the event of a muting
error. The protective system can be released even if a light beam
has been broken. To permit this, the muting sensors must issue a
valid muting signal. The override lamp indicates that this function is
available. The override pushbutton must be pressed and then
released again.
