Commissioning
2 . Regular inspection of the protective device by trained
technicians:
– Inspection in accordance with the valid national regulations
at the intervals specified therein. The purpose of these
inspections is to detect any changes or unauthorized
modifications made since initial commissioning.
– The inspections must be carried out whenever major modifi-
cations have been made to the machine or protective device,
or if modifications or repairs have been made following
damage to the housing, front screen, connection cable, etc.
3 . Daily inspection of the protective device by authorized
personnel:
– Check for wear or damage to the housing, front screen or
electrical connection cable.
– Inspection to establish whether the protective device
functions correctly for the configured operating mode.
LE 20 with M 2000
Each light beam is completely covered (test performed by the
owner daily or at the beginning of each work cycle). If
reflecting mirrors are used cover immediately before and
after the mirror.
Only the red LED on the LE 20 and M 2000 should
light up.
LE 20 with C 2000
The test rod (see "Resolution" on rating plate) is slowly
passed through the protective field at three points:
1 . Protective field boundaries/protective field markings
in the vicinity of the sender (access opening).
2 . Protective field boundaries/protective field markings
in the vicinity of the receiver.
3 . Protective field boundaries between the sender and
receiver.
Only the red LED on the LE 20 and C 2000 should
light up.
