SETUP FOR CLINICAL USE
Patient Monitor Setup
WARNING: Refer to the external Patient Monitor Instructions for Use before connecting Codman's ICP Monitor. Make sure the
external monitor pressure input is compatible with Codman's ICP Monitor output (refer to Technical Specifications sections).
WARNING: The ICP Monitor provides a blue output connector that allows connectivity to an external Patient Monitor (see Figure 1).
Use the appropriate Codman Interface Cable to connect to the patient monitor (refer to Recommended Accessories and Reordering
Information section).
NOTE: The patient monitor calibration can be performed without a sensor connected. In this case, after calibration, the CereLink
Monitor will transmit an ICP value of -50mmHg to the Patient Monitor.

Select Patient Monitor Setup
Once the External Patient Monitor is recognized by the ICP monitor, the "Patient Monitor Setup" option will be available in the
Home Screen.
NOTE: You can access the Patient Monitor Setup menu by selecting the Home button from any of the main screens.

Start Calibration Process

NOTE: Connectors are push/pull. DO NOT twist.

direction as the screen.

Push blue connector into blue port until you hear a click.

To remove cable, grab textured part of connector and pull

Start the calibration process by selecting the "0" button
on the Codman CereLink ICP monitor (see Figure 20). The
monitor will send a 0mmHg signal to the External Monitor.

Zero the pressure input on the External Patient Monitor.

Wait until the External Patient Monitor displays "0mmHg".
