INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING HALF-MASKS IN THE M6100-
M6200-M6300-M6400 RANGE & CARTRIDGES IN THE
1 – DESCRIPTION The M6100-M6200-M6300-M6400 half-mask and DELTAPLUS® M6000 filter series meet the essential requirements of the European directive
89/686/EC and the standards EN140:1998, EN14387:2004+A1:2008 and EN143:2000/A1:2006. Half-mask sizes : M6100 M6200 : single size. M6300 : S/M (ideally
suited for small or medium faces). M6400 : M/L (ideally suited for medium or large faces). 2 – APPLICATIONS The M6100-M6200-M6300-M6400 half-mask and
DELTAPLUS® M6000 filter series are designed to ensure protection against various contaminants (see table below). Before using breathing protection equipment,
it is important to be aware of the following information: 2.1 Nature of the contaminant present in the work zone; 2.2 Concentration of the contaminant present in the
work zone; 2.3 Oxygen concentration in the work zone (> 19.5%); 2.4The maximum permissible exposure level (PEL) for the contaminant present in the work zone;
2.5 Probable duration of use of the mask and the filter.

3 - USAGE LIMITATIONS3.1
reduction in the protection factor of the equipment; 3.3Do not use this equipment in restricted or enclosed spaces (reservoir, gallery) or in spaces where the probable
concentration of contaminants will be very high; 3.4 Do not use in areas where the oxygen concentration is less than 19.5%; 3.5 The use of filters and half masks is
limited by the concentration of contaminants, see Standard EN529:2006 (Recommendations for selection, use and maintenance) and its VME (see the risks sheet);
3.6 Do not use this respirator in potentially explosive or oxygen-enriched atmospheres; 3.7 This equipment is not designed to provide protection against carbon
dioxide (CO
) or monoxide (CO). 3.8 Do not use this equipment in areas where the contaminant concentration is unknown or risks immediately endangering the

health of the user. 3.9 EXIT THE WORK AREA IMMEDIATELY: a) if there is an emergency; b) When using a filter against particles or combination, when breathing
becomes difficult the filter can be saturated and should be replaced in a safe area; c) When using a filter against gases or combination, if you can smell the
contaminant or if you experience irritation. Your filter may be saturated and should be replaced in a risk-free zone; d) If you feel tired, if you have dizziness or any
other unpleasant impressions e) if the mask is damaged. 3.10 SHELF LIFE The filter's expiry date is indicated on each of the filters. If the storage conditions are
satisfied, the life of a filter from the date of its manufacture is: Particle filter: 10 years / Gas filter: 5 years. The end of this life is indicated by the expiry date. The limit
of use of the mask is difficult to determine after the first use. It depends on the atmosphere in the work area. It is recommended to conduct a visual inspection. This
inspection should be conducted by a qualified person who knows the equipment. In any case, it is recommended to destroy the mask to prevent reuse after a maximum
of 5 years of use or storage or if a fault appears during an inspection 4 – WARNING Beards or ill-fitting masks may lead to a reduction in the efficiency of the equipment.
5 – CONTROLS 5.1. BEFORE USE Respect the following procedure before using a mask with a filter:5.1.1 The filter packaging must be sealed. Do not use a filter
whose packaging is damaged.5.1.2Check the expiry dates on the filter(s) and on the box of the face piece. 5.1.3 Check the facepiece in its general aspect: check
that valves are flat in their place and that the caches valves are properly placed. 5.2. PERIODICALLY 5.2.1 The half mask should be checked periodically throughout
the life of the product, especially after a long period without use or after maintenance. If you regularly have problems fitting the masks, it should be check prior to
every use. 5.2.2 The frequency of these inspections must comply with national regulations and in any case the inspection should be performed at least once a year.
6 - DONNING THE DEMI MASK The half mask must be adjusted by a qualified person. Fitting should be checked using the following procedure: 6.1 Positioning the
half mask: a) Before adjusting the half mask, ensure that the filter(s) is (are) suitable, that the valves are flat in their housing and that the
valve flaps are correctly placed. b) Hold the mask against the face, placing the narrow part on the nose and the wider section on the chin.
c) Pass the main upper strap over the top of the head, ensuring it is not twisted. d) Adjust the main strap so it is comfortable. e) Take each
of the lower neck straps, place them on the neck and attach to each other. 6.2 To check fitting, first fit the half mask without the filter.
Close the filter fixing holes using the palm of your hands, but do not push the mask towards the bottom of the face. Inhale slightly, the air
will be reduced inside the half mask creating a partial vacuum. The half mask should then adhere to the face and positions itself correctly.
6.3 If not, adjust the face piece and straps until the correct position is obtained. If the mask cannot be fitted correctly, the respirator should
not be used. Remember to fit one (or more) filter(s) to the half mask before use. 6.4 Place the filter(s) on the face piece. Do not over-
tighten the filter(s) in the connection as this may damage the seal. 6.5 Don the mask and check sealing by breathing in heavily.
7 - ADJUSTING THE FILTER Check that you have chosen the filter type corresponding to the planned application. Inspect the filter to
ensure it is not damaged. If you have planned to use a M6000 PRE P3R (pre-filter), it should be used with A2 or ABEK1 filters. 7.1 To fit
the M6000 PRE P3R pre-filter (slotted over a filter): Align the meshes on the two filters (not fixed to the half mask) ensuring that the spot
