DRP+ parallelism tolerances
Parallelism tolerances between the mounting surface of the DRP+ and the rack reference surface (See
diagrams below).
The measurement location of LX(1) and LX(2) must be separated by at least the length of the unit.
The measurement location of LY(1) and LY(2) must be separated by at least the depth of the unit.

DRP+ height setting
Setting the centre distance of the rack & pinions by means of an intermediate plate
1. In case of a mechanical preload, release the coupling
screws (D) between the 2 bevel gearboxes at the
opposite side of the motor. This will free the right pinion
from the left one.
2. Place a single rack section on the pinions to set the relative
angular position between the two pinions. With the rack fully
meshing with one of the pinions, rotate the other pinion by
turning the corresponding input shaft and measure with an
indicator the lowest position the rack can reach into the second
pinion.
3. Measure the distance without backlash (a) between the back surface of the rack and the centre of the
top surface of the DRP+ housing.
